“Camera Mapper Plug-In”

1) Import file to use in project (don’t make 3D)
2) Create (2) SOLIDS (Ctrl Y) – label one “MASKED IMAGE” and the other “BACKGROUND”. Place MASKED IMAGE on top. Make both 3D.
3) Create (2) CAMERAS (Ctrl+Shft+Alt+C) – label one “PROJ CAMERA” and the other “MAIN CAMERA”. Place MAIN CAMERA on top.
4) Right-click on MAIN CAMERA and select Transform>Auto-Orient>Off
5) Apply Camera Mapper effect to both MASKED IMAGE and BACKGROUND. Settings for each are…

MASKED IMAGE Proj Camera: MAIN
Projection Layer: Image layer to project

BACKGROUND Proj Camera: PROJ
Projection Layer: Image layer to project

6) Hide original image layer
7) Use mask tool to cut out image you want to look 3D on MASKED IMAGE layer
8) Move Zed position of BACKGROUND backward to separate from MASKED IMAGE. Scale BACKGROUND to fill canvas.
9) On MAIN CAMERA, move position around (keyframe as necessary to get desired effect). DON’T MOVE PROJ CAMERA…ONLY MAIN CAMERA.
10) Apply Motion Blur to MASKED IMAGE and BACKGROUND
